About Our Jurisdiction

The Church of God in Christ organizes its work into ecclesiastical jurisdictions — regional bodies, each led by a bishop, that oversee the congregations within a given territory. The Senegal-Gambia West Africa Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction covers Senegal and The Gambia, and it is led by Bishop Lorenzo Lee, who serves as Prelate.

We are young. The jurisdiction is still being built, congregation by congregation, partnership by partnership, and we would rather tell you that plainly than dress it up. What we have is a district, a growing body of believers, and a clear sense of what we are here to do.

 MPC International Headquarters Building — Purpose

The MPC International Headquarters building is being developed as the physical home for COGIC Gambia's six core outreach programs in the Senegal-Gambia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, consolidating them under one roof rather than operating them as separate, scattered efforts. Once complete, it will house:

1. Emergency Shelter Program – safe housing for individuals and families facing homelessness, traveling missionary hosting or crisis.
2. Food Pantry Program – nutritious food access and food-insecurity relief.
3. Employment Training Skills Program – job readiness, resume-building, and interview prep.
4. Entrepreneurial Training Program – business planning, marketing, and financial management training.
5. Clothing Distribution Program – clothing access for individuals and families in need.
6. Christian Faith Training Program – faith formation and interfaith community outreach in a majority-Muslim context.
